Christine Wong was named Vice President, Human Resources, Hong
Kong Disneyland Resort in November 2006. In this capacity, she is
responsible for the overall Human Resources strategy for Hong Kong
Disneyland including Compensation and Benefits, Staffing, Learning
and Development, Human Resources Services and Human Resources Systems.
Wong joined Hong Kong Disneyland in 2003 as Director, Learning and
Development, at the Resort. Under Wong¡¦s leadership, nearly 5,000
local cast members at Hong Kong Disneyland received training in
Disney traditions and values, product and Guest Excellence. Today,
Hong Kong Disneyland Cast Members deliver some of the highest guest-satisfaction
ratings among all 11 Disney parks worldwide.
Prior to joining Hong Kong Disneyland, Wong served for 10 years
as Group Human Resources Director for Giordano International Co.,
Ltd. She was responsible for nurturing and sustaining ¡§Service Culture¡¨
as well as ¡§Talent Development¡¨ as the competitive advantages of
the Giordano Group in over 10 countries. She served as the Managing
Director of Lau, Wong & Associates Consultants ¡V a Giordano
subsidiary offering performance consulting. Clients included The
University of Hong Kong, Citibank, PCCW, The Hong Kong Jockey Club,
7-Eleven, Zung Fu Company Ltd., Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited,
The city University of Hong Kong, Li & Fung (Trading) Ltd.,
The Housing Authority, Cafe de¡¦Coral, and Pizza Hut. Previously,
she served in a variety of training, finance and operations management
positions for the Jardine Matheson Group, the parent company of
7-Eleven Stores in Hong Kong.
Wong is a qualified accountant in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong,
she earned an MBA degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong, and
holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from Hong Kong
Polytechnic University.
