This year, the company has further distinguished itself by securing multiple accolades, including the "ESG Human Resources Strategy Award," "Corporate Sustainability Award," and "Greater Bay Area Outstanding Employer Award." Hong Yip attributes its continued success to its robust and innovative human resources strategy, as well as its unwavering commitment to sustainable development while delivering exceptional services to its clientele. Dr. Aaron Chiang, Head of Human Resources and Administration, expressed his deep appreciation for receiving this esteemed award once again, underscoring the company's exceptional performance in human resources management and its consistent industry recognition.

In the realm of talent acquisition, Hong Yip remains steadfast in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, actively attracting individuals of all ages and ethnic backgrounds through various outreach channels. The company places great emphasis on training and development, offering a wide array of both internal and external training programs to support continuous learning and skill enhancement for its employees. Through collaborations with nearly 20 tertiary institutions and educational bodies, Hong Yip orchestrates work-experience and internship initiatives benefiting over 100 students annually.

Furthermore, Hong Yip collaborates closely with the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) and partners with more than 20 non-profit organizations (NGOs) and ERB-accredited training institutions in supporting ERB's activities and programs. The company's involvement in career seminars for graduate classes of placement-tied courses is notable. In 2024, Hong Yip set a milestone by becoming the first property management entity to participate in the ¡§One-Stop Training and Employment Scheme¡¨ initiated by the ERB, thereby extending various employment opportunities to unemployed youth and senior citizens. The company's exceptional dedication to employee training and development has been recognized with the prestigious ¡§ERB Outstanding Employer Award¡¨ at the ¡§ERB¡¦s Annual Presentation Ceremony¡¨ for the 13th consecutive year, being the company having won the most number of this Award.

"In-House Developed Intelligent Information Platform - WeCom
Recognizing the paramount importance of fostering effective communication between employees and management, Hong Yip is dedicated to its enhancement. In 2015, the company introduced the mobile application "WeCom," an internally crafted intelligent information platform designed to deliver real-time updates, facilitate management sharing, strengthen knowledge management, engage employees, provide training opportunities, and showcase company events. Over the years, WeCom has evolved into a primary communication channel for the organization, serving as a crucial knowledge management and training platform. Presently, WeCom hosts close to 600 training videos, enabling employees to engage in online learning, undergo performance assessments, transfer knowledge, and provide feedback conveniently and efficiently.

Hong Yip People Development Academy - Continuous Professionalism Enhancement

Ms. Agnes Wong, Senior Manager of Human Resources & Administration, shared that in 2007, the company established the "Hong Yip People Development Academy" with core values of "Proactive, Positive, Learning, Experience" to equip employees at various levels with the necessary skills and knowledge. The Academy received accreditation from the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications in 2010, making it the pioneering private entity to offer competency-based courses recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF). To date, the Academy has successfully launched 24 QF-accredited courses across levels 1 to 4. The Academy's QF-accredited level 4 course was endorsed by the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) in 2022 as meeting its mandatory requirement for the "Property Management Practitioner (Tier 2) License," significantly contributing to the company's long-term talent pool. Hong Yip stands as the first and only company in the property management industry offering in-house courses recognized by PMSA for meeting the academic requirement of the Property Management Practitioner (Tier 2) License.

Pioneering VR, AR, MR Technologies in Training

Since 2018, Hong Yip has been at the vanguard of incorporating virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies into its training programs. Hong Yip People Development Academy has established an innovative training center equipped with state-of-the-art tools and applications, providing nearly 20 sets of advanced training modules. To date, over 1,000 employees have completed these training sessions, garnering positive feedback for the Academy's progressive approach.

Agnes elaborated on the company's efforts to enhance employees' awareness of fire hazards by collaborating with various tertiary institutions. Together, they developed the ¡§Three R Virtual Building - Integrated Emergency Handling Platform,¡¨ which leverages virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies to enable employees to safely simulate real-life fire handling scenarios. This training platform has been seamlessly integrated into new employee induction programs and tenant fire drills to enhance the fire handling skills of both employees and customers. In 2024, this platform garnered the "Silver Award in the Open Category of the 1st Occupational Safety and Health Innovation and Technology Award" and the "Most Popular Innovation Award," organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Council.

Carbon Emissions and Energy Consumption Monitoring
Mr. Wilson Ng, Maintenance Engineer, underscored the company's unwavering commitment to environmental preservation and energy efficiency through the ongoing optimization of its environmental management systems and the enhancement of energy efficiency in its managed properties. Since July 2021, Hong Yip has been purchasing ¡§Renewal Energy Certificates¡¨ from CLP to offset efficiency consumption of internal training and large-scale corporate activities each year. It also actively promotes the use of renewable energy, supporting its commitment to achieving ¡§carbon neutrality¡¨ by 2050 and striving to create a green and sustainable living environment for its customers.

Promoting Sustainable Development Strategies

Addressing Hong Yip's receipt of the "Corporate Sustainability Award," Aaron elucidated the Group's significant focus on formulating and executing sustainable development strategies to realize its vision of "Service For Tomorrow". The oversight of corporate sustainability falls under the purview of the ¡§Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Steering Committee,¡¨ ensuring both operational efficiency and compliance. The company upholds the ethos of its parent organization, Sun Hung Kai Properties - ¡¥Serving Customers with Heart,' fostering active engagement with employees, business partners, and customers through collaborative initiatives via the community resource platform. This approach encourages meaningful connections within the community, extends support to those in need, and cultivates a culture of positive energy across society."
